The Fast Times At Clairemont High (Chapter 34.)

“Goodmorning students and faculty of Clairemont High. If you didn’t already know, this is your principal speaking. I’ll keep this short since it is the last day of school. I just wanted to say thank you for another wonderful, successful year. And as for the seniors, you’ll hear my speech tonight. But I will say congratulations. Now I would like to see Julianna Jozwiak, Amber Yanick, Kellin Quinn, Victor Fuentes, Michael Fuentes, Alexander Gaskarth, Matthew Flyzik, Austin Carlile, Jenna McDougall, and Patrick Stump. Please gather your belongings and head over to my office. Thank you and everybody have a wonderful day.”

The Mrs. Skyes’ message rang through the hallways and classrooms of the school. When the announcement, everybody met at the fountain, except for Jenna, Matt, and Patrick.

“Guys, why the fuck are we being called to the principal’s office the last day of school?” Vic asked wearily.
“Babe. Ten of us were called. Ten people out of the senior class. Why do you think we are going to the office?” Kellin asked in a rhetorical manner.
“OH! OH! I get it now!” Vic half yelled as the group walked swiftly down the hallway.
“Dumbass.” Julianna mumbled as they walked through the doors to the principal’s conference room and took a seat.

Within the next five minutes, the principal entered the room smiling, holding a big folder full of papers.

“Geez. What’s in the folder?!” Kellin asked in an overexcited tone.
“Nevermind that Kellin. Okay. So I’m sure you all have figured out why you were called here. If not, well then maybe you shouldn’t be here.” Mrs. Sykes chuckled before she began the next part of her speech.
“Okay. Well anyway. You ten have the top ten highest grades in the senior class. This accomplishment alone will get you very far in life. But regardless of your ranks, I have personally met and had time alone with seven of you, so I know you’ll all go far. Anyway. We’ll start with number ten and count backward to number one. Ten is Alex, nine is Mike, eight is Jenna, seven is Matt, six is Amber, five is Austin, four is Patrick, three is Vic, two is Julianna, and number one, your valedictorian is Kellin.”

The small group cheered as they received their ranks. With a short celebration, Mrs. Sykes began to give another mini speech.

“Alright alright. This is short notice. I am aware. But Kellin and Julianna, you need to write speeches so go see Mr. Calzini and he’ll help you guys out.”

Julianna and Kellin hurried out the door as soon as a speech was mentioned.

“As for the rest of you congratulations. I will be making an announcement later this afternoon. Now go down to the football field to begin graduation practice.”

With that being said everybody got up and again walked together except Jenna, Matt, and Patrick.

“So I can’t believe this is real! We’re graduating tonight! Holy fuck! We did it!!” Vic cheered as they walked to the field.
“Yea we did. It took us long enough.” Mike added.
“I still think this is all too real. But come on. Let’s start practice.” Amber stated as she began jogging to the field.

The top ten students had a special section on the mini stage. It was a tad intimidating to be looking towards the crowd instead of being in the crowd, but they deserved it.

“I don’t like being out of the crowd. There’s too much attention on us.” Alex stuttered, clearly nervous.
“Dude they are out of the crowd. We may not be sitting with them, but we are the in crowd.” Austin laughed as he took his seat for practice.

The group laughed at Austin’s pun towards the band We Are The In Crowd. Although they were only a local band, less than a year older than the group of seniors, they were well known throughout town.

After three hours of graduation practice, Kellin and Julianna had returned clutching papers towards their chests. Vic figured it was their speeches for graduation since he heard Kellin say “we’ll read them tonight.” and the teacher nodded so it obviously had to do with speeches.

Kellin and Julianna sat closest to the podium due to their ranks but Kellin kept stealing looks with Vic. Vic was also watching Kellin rather intently because he had been distant lately. Vic watched as Kellin absentmindedly placed his hand on Julianna’s thigh. Quite frankly, Vic became green with jealousy and envy. But he let it go since he didn’t want to run everybody’s graduation day.

Vic began to calm down over his melodramatic reaction when his phone started buzzing wildly in his pocket. Vic snuck a peak at his phone and realized it was a text from Kellin. Vic smiled and open rather quickly which he regretted as soon as he read it. Vic looked over at Kellin who was intently staring at Mrs. Sykes. Vic then looked back at his phone and reread the message over and over again until graduation practice was over.

Silently he read,
“we need to talk about us. I don’t know if we’ll make it. But I really do want to talk. Love you.

The Fast Times At Clairemont High (Chapter 33.)

After a few days of not seeing each other, the group’s tension with each other had subsided. They rebounded like nothing had happened on their spring break adventure. Even Mike and Amber sorted out their problems after their huge blowup. Needless to say, they were back together.

School was now flying by. Teachers were giving less and less work. The main thought for all the seniors was prom, which was now two weeks away.

Typically everybody already had their dates and Julianna and Amber already had their dresses. The boys were putting off getting their tuxes until the last possible minute. Everybody was generally situated except Kellin and Vic. Neither had asked each other to prom and neither knew who should ask.

Kellin confined to Julianna about his dilemma over lunch while shopping for prom accessories.

“Jules. What if he doesn’t want to go with me?” Kellin asked in a weary tone.
“Kells. Suck it up and ask him. If he says no, then I can get you another date. But just ask him. Maybe he’s too scared that you’ll say no.” Julianna responded firmly.
“Yea. I guess you’re right.”
“I am right. Call him now and ask if he wants to go to dinner tonight. When he says yes, I’ll make you reservations and you will ask him later.”
“Thank Jules.” Kellin was a little more optimistic.
“No need to thank me. Just learn to take control. How do you think I always have Alex wrapped around my finger?” Julianna smirked and winked at Kellin due to her last comment.
“Woah. Okay. I am done here. Lunch and shopping was glorious. Thank you for advice. I will text you whether to make reservations or not. I will see you later.” Kellin stuttered slightly in shock at her last comment.
“Bye Kells.” Julianna chuckled and hugged Kellin before leaving half of the check on the table and walking out.

~~~~
Low and behold, Kellin and Vic were sitting at a table in one of the fanciest restaurants in town.
“So I take it that you let Jules make reservations?” Vic chuckled shaking his head at Kellin.
“Of course. You think I could manage to pick out a place that looks this nice?” Kellin retaliated. “Actually no don’t answer that. I want you to answer a different question.” Kellin paused and Vic now looked confused.
“Victor, will you go to prom with me?” Kellin asked just above a whisper.
“of course. The only reason I didn’t ask was because I wasn’t sure you wanted to go.” Vic responded quickly then enveloped Kellin in a quick gentle kiss.
The boys quickly finished their dinner and headed to Kellin’s to talk about prom details with the rest of their friends.
“So. What are we doing after prom?” Vic asked eagerly.
“Let’s go down the shore.” Julianna responded joyfully.
“Uhm. How about no. Remember what happened last time?” Amber added slickly annoyed.
“How about we get a party bus and go to New York or some place?” Austin asked nervously.
The group looked around and nodded at the thought of the party bus.
“We need to reserve it like tomorrow so there are no issue.” Julianna stated.
“Well how are we going to get the money that fast?” Amber asked wearily.
“I didn’t think about that.” Julianna spoke lowly and hung her head.
“Guys. I can have my dad pay for it and after we figure out the number of people and stuff we can pay him back.” Rian spoke up confidently.
“You would do that?” Vic asked skeptically.
“Of course. Why not?” Rian replied dumbfounded. Vic just shrugged.
“Well now that’s settled. On to a new topic. Colors!” Amber smiled mischievously as Mike face palmed himself.
“Am, that look isn’t reassuring.” Kellin chuckled.
“Well I think we should all match.” she motioned to all sixteen of them.
“Why the fuck would we do that? I mean don’t get me wrong. I’m sure the guys would comply but our dates would not.” Alex stated matter of factly.
“Yea. I didn’t think that through.” Amber shrugged
“Yea. We all love you Am, but not everybody is going to agree on blue.” Austin added. Amber looked to see everybody else nodding in agreement and this caused Amber to sigh loudly.
“Fine. But can we have something to match us all?” Amber asked reluctantly.
“LIKE WHAT?!” everybody yelled in unison.
“God fine. Eff you guys then.” Amber huffed and sank back into her seat.
“I have an idea!” Kellin bellowed.
“What Kellin?” Jesse asked skeptically.
“Well our prom theme is a masquerade ball. We can all have matching masks!” Kellin cheered.
“Holy shit. That’s a great idea.” Justin spoke in agreement.
“It’s settled. We’re all getting a party bus and wearing matching masks. Can we all go eat now? I’m fucking starving?” Jack asked  slightly annoyed. The group chuckled and headed out the door to go eat.
PROM NIGHT
“Vicky. I don’t like my maskkkkk.” Kellin whined over dramatically.
“Kells. It was your idea to wear masks. Suck it up.” Vic responded rather harshly.
“Fine Mr. Grumpy. No fun for you tonight.” Kellin winked and headed to his front door since he heard a faint knocking.
“Mom. Why are you knocking?” Kellin asked confused.
“I locked myself out. Now go get next to Vic so I can take pictures!” Kellin’s mom ordered in an overjoyed tone.
Vic and Kellin reluctantly stood together as Kellin’s mother captured the moment. She was quite the director making them pose and all sorts of other things. After about 5 or 10 minutes Kellin’s doorbell rang. Mrs. Quinn ran quickly over to open it revealing Jesse with his girl friend Ashley, and Justin with his date Lindsey.
“Awhhh. Guys come in, come in! More pictures!” Kellin’s mom cheered and the new group of people just laughed.
“Mom! There will be plenty of time for pictures! Just give us a minute!” Kellin yelled causing his mother to curse him under her breath as she walked away.
“So is everybody coming here?” Kellin asked nervously since that wasn’t the plan.
“According to Jules and Amber.” Justin shrugged.
“It’d be nice to know these things!” Kellin threw his arms in the air. Dramatically, like usual.
“Kellin. Seriously you’re acting worse than a girl. So what if they come here? They show up, take a few pictures and leave. Big deal.” Vic scolded Kellin.
“Yea. I guess you’re right.” Kellin spoke modestly.
Before anybody else could speak there was a beeping noise coming from the front of Kellin’s house. He went outside to check it out. Low and behold, it was the rest of their friends in a giant stretch limo. One by one everybody got out until the lined the entire limo. Kellin, Vic, Justin, Jesse, and their dates jumped in with the group to take pictures. Everybody was lined up like the colors of the rainbow, except they started with pink. Jesse and his date Ashley, and Jack F. and Katelynne wore pink.
Austin and his date Crissy along with Tony and his date Stephanie wore red. Rian and Cassadee, and Zack and Marissa decided on orange. Jack B. and his date, Annie, were brave enough to wear a crazy shade of yellow. Justin and Lindsey, and Gabe and Sophie donned differed shades of green. Amber and Mike were the only ones to wear blue. Same for Alex and Julianna, except with purple. Vic and Kellin kept it traditional with black tuxes and white shirts. But Jaime and Melissa also wore black.
After countless pictures, everybody climbed into the limo and instructed the driver to the fancy hotel where prom was being held.
“Cheers to tonight!” Mike slurred as he raised a glass.
“Mike, are you drunk already?” Vic asked wearily.
“No Vic. He decided to get high while getting ready and had two beers so now he is all stupid.” Amber answered bitterly. Vic just shook his head and chuckled.
“Guys no fighting tonight. We’ll be there in about 5 minutes. We’re going to eat and dance
and have a banging ass time. Then we’re all going to get trashed on our party bus. Now stop fighting and have fun!” Julianna yelled just as the limo pulled up to the hotels entrance.
One by one the group piled out of the limo and headed inside. They were stopped briefly upon entrance to take pictured with their dates than they proceeded to get a table in the ballroom.
After everybody ate, the dj took his position and started playing different types of music. All the pro goers went crazy.
That portion of the night flew by. Now it was time for the party bus.
Liquor was being passed around everywhere along with multiple blunts and cigarettes. The group was just going crazy. They didn’t care if they got caught. Soon enough the sun was coming up and everybody ended up in Kellin’s back yard passes out on his giant deck.
Once all the girls were up, they realized everybody else was still sleeping, except Kellin.
“Pssst. Kells. Come here.” Julianna whispered carefully so she wouldn’t wake anybody up.
Kellin foolishly crawled over to her with his apparent hang over.
“What Jules?”
“I say we all throw our dates into your pool and run to the house and just not let them in.” Julianna smiled devilishly.
Kellin nodded and smirked in agreement.
“One the count of three. 1.. 2.. 3..”
And all the girls were off trying to get their date or boyfriend into the pool and rush back into the house first. Kellin managed to be first, and Julianna and Amber and the rest of the girls weren’t too far behind. Marissa was the last one in and Kellin quickly slammed the door behind her as he realized the guys were charging to the house.
“Holy shit. Theyre going to kill us.” amber spoke through laughter.
“Oh well. We graduate in less than a month. We’re allowed to do these things. Because after the summer, who knows where we will all end up.” Julianna spoke in a happy tone, but she made everybody realize their friendships may end soon.
Before everybody got to sad, Kellin secretly let the guys in through the front door. They all ran to their girlfriends, tackling them to the living room floor hoping to get them soaked. Everybody was laughing and trying to get away from each other.
Kellin quickly told Vic what Julianna had said and they both agreed with her. But they weren’t about to ruin their fun with reality.
After about twenty minutes, everybody went home to get changed and come back to Kellin’s house for a movie night, Harry Potter thanks to Mike’s request. Yet again, everybody fell asleep in awkward places. But Kellin didn’t have the heart to kick everybody out, so he let them be.  But he went to bed thinking about what Julianna had said earlier. He laid in bed wondering how him and Vic would end up. And whether everybody’s friendship would last.
After about an hour of negative thinking Kellin fell asleep next to his boyfriend, for the time being anyway…
The Fast Times At Clairemont High (Chapter 32)
“Vic…. Vickyy…. VICTOR!”
“WHAT KELLIN?!”
“Sorry I thought you were sleeping.”
“Oh yea. Lemme just fall asleep in a jail cell.”
“I’m sorry. I didn’t know..”
“Well why the fuck would I be asleep?”
“Guys. Knock it off.” Julianna interrupted Vic and Kellin’s bickering.
“Sorry Jules….” Kellin replied solemnly and hung his head down.
“Vic is there anything you would like to say?” Amber asked slightly annoyed.
“Other than I want to fucking go home, nope nothing at all.” Vic answered in a monotone voice.
“Whatever. You’re such an ass.” Amber scoffed.
“Guys. Seriously. Fucking stop. I know this is the last place we all want to be but the fighting isn’t making it any better. If you aren’t going to be nice, shut the fuck up until we leave.” Jesse practically shouted at everyone. Nobody dared to even respond. Everybody just nodded.
Five long minutes after Jesse snapped, a police officer walked into the room dismissing everybody.
“You all can have many charges placed against you. But since you shouldn’t have even belonged in the club in the first place, we’ll cut you some slack and let you leave with a warning. nothing will be placed on your records, but cause trouble here again, you will strongly regret it. Now gather your belongings and go back home.” the police officer spoke sternly but was nice about the situation.
The group left the police station angered and annoyed. But yet, they were relieved to be going home. Nobody spoke. Nobody held hands. Absolute silence.
When they got back to the house everybody practically ran to their rooms to pack their bags. When Kellin and Vic were now alone so Kellin made an attempt to talk to his boyfriend.
“Vic. Listen, I’m sorry about everything that happened past night and this morning. I really am.” Kellin spoke shyly afraid of Vic’s reaction.
“Kellin. Don’t apologize. If I should be mad at anyone it should be Mike. He’s the one that got us into that mess. If anything I should be apologizing for snapping at you.” Vic spoke sympathetically as he embraced Kellin into a hug.
“Come on Kells. Lets go downstairs and go home.”
When Vic and Kellin got downstairs, they realized they were for once the first ones ready. Everybody else was running around like madmen gathering all of their clothes and necessities.
After twenty minutes, everybody was waiting on Amber and Mike.
“What the fuck are they doing? I just wanna go home.” Tony mumbled as he waited impatiently. Then the room went silent as They heard Amber and Mike yelling from upstairs.
“Mike. I’m fucking done. I can’t take this shit anymore. Last night proved that.”
“Amber. Stop. Just stop. You were the one getting all close with that fucking perv.”
“I was dancing Mike! Dancing! Stop being so protective. Im not and will never cheat on you if that’s what your fucking thinking.”
“Well. Sorry for fucking caring. But isn’t that how we got together? You cheating on my brother with me?” Pure anger and hatred could be heard in Mike’s voice as he argued with Amber.
“Guys maybe we should go wait outside…” Julianna suggested.
“No this is getting good!!!” Justin answered making everybody laugh. Julianna just shook her head and walked out the door. Alex and Jack weren’t too far behind her. Now everybody was back to focusing on Mike and Amber.
“Mike don’t even fucking go there. That’s different!”
“How the fuck is it different? Tell me please. Once a cheater always a cheater. After you and Vic broke up for good I should have left your ass too. But no. Me being a guy who always gets what he wants decided to stay with you and almost lose my brother. Damn I was stupid for fucking being with you in the first place!” Mike screamed and slammed the door behind him. Once he began descending the stairs, everybody who stayed to listen ran straight for their bags and out the door to make it seem like they weren’t listening.
Everybody was huddled by one of the vans talking about what they just heard when Mike joined the group.
“Please tell me you didn’t hear all of that…” Mike spoke cautiously.
“Nope. No. Not at all.” Austin replied sarcastically.
“fuck. Sorry guys.”
“Come on. Let’s just get in the vans and go home.” Jaime suggested.
Once settled into the vans, they all realized they were still waiting on Amber. Julianna ventured back into the house to retrieve her best friend. Once out of the house it was apparent Amber had been crying. And she certainly was in no mood to sit in a van with Mike for five hours. Some people switched places in the vans to accommodate Amber and Mike. But finally they were on their way home with Julianna, Amber, Alex, Jack, Rian, Zack, Gabe, and Justin in one van and Kellin, Vic, Mike, Jaime, Tony, Jesse, Jack, and Austin in the other.
After about 5 hours of continuos driving, everybody made it home
In one piece. Both vans stayed relatively silent as they ventured back to jersey. It was more of a relief to be home.
Once everybody was dropped off at home, they wasted no time to go see their families. Awkward goodbyes were made, but nobody seemed to care because they were home.
It became evident that Mike
and Amber were no longer together but they had 2
days to calm down before they had to face each other in school.
Nobody told their parents about what had happened just for the fear of being reprimanded and possibly grounded. But then again, who knows what everybodys parents would say, if they even cared. They were just happy that their children returned home from an adventurous spring break.
With only two months of senior years left, the next big thing the group has to tackle is prom. Prom night with this group will either be magnificent or a complete disaster. Hopefully problems will be sorted out and it will be a night to remember instead of a night to forget. Then again, nothing is predictable with this group of oddballs.
The Fast Times At Clairemont High (Chapter 31)
“Kellin, Vic! Get the fuck up! I’m sick of waiting for you two all of the time. It is our last full day on vacation and we all would like to have fun!!!” Amber’s angered voice bellowed throughout their vacation house.
“Uhm. Amber we’re right behind you.” Kellin responded, tapping Amber lightly on the shoulder.
“If you guys are down here, then who’s upstairs in the shower?” she asked slightly confused.
Before Kellin could answer Jack and Rian sauntered into the hallway.
“Hey. Have you guys seen Alex? He was here like 5 minutes ago and now we can’t find him.” Rian stated slightly worried.
Before Rian was answered, Mike walked into the hall mentioning that Julianna was missing as well. That’s when the group heard a shrill scream and giggling coming from upstairs.
“HOLY SHIT!! IS NOTHING IN OUR FRIENDSHIP SACRED ANYMORE?!?!? Jack screamed as he stormed out of the house. Everybody else looked back and forth at each other before breaking into a fit of laughter.
“Guys we’ve been waiting for twenty minutes. Can we just leave without them?” Justin peeked his head into the hallway slightly annoyed.
“Yea yea. Go upstairs and get Alex and Jules.” Vic suggested, choking back laughter.
Justin happily obliged sprinting up the stairs. Not even 5 minutes later he ran back down screaming.
“IM WAITING OUTSIDE! I AM DONE WITH OUR LACK OF CARING JUST BECAUSE WE ARE FRIENDS!”
Again, Amber, Mike, Vic, Kellin, and Rian were dying of laughter as they followed Justin out the door.
Everybody was sitting on the porch when Alex and Julianna walked out grinning from ear to ear holding hands.
“Finally the love birds decided to show.” Austin mumbled under his breath.
“And I thought Vic and Kellin were bad.” Jesse chuckled.
“Hey. At least we wait till everyone is asleep!” Kellin retorted.
“Woah. Okay. Well. Yea.” Julianna stood there dumbfounded.
“Alright, alright. We’re here now. Let’s go.” Alex chimed in.
The group of 16 hopped into their respective vans and headed to the beach for the afternoon.
The afternoon was filled with surfing, volleyball, tag, and tanning. Some older onlookers were annoyed by the younger group’s antics. But they didn’t care. It was around 3 when they all huddled together to discuss the activities for the night.”
“So. I think we should go and party tonight.” Jaime declared.
“How? We’re underaged. We cant get anything.” Vic spoked matter of factly.
“Didnt we all bring our fake ids?” Gabe asked sounding hopeful.
“Well i know we did.” Zack motioned towards Alex, Jack, and Rian.
“Me, Jesse, and Justin have ours!” Jack F. Chimed in.
“I made sure to pack mine, Kellin’s, and Mike’s.” Vic cheered joyfully.
“Ladies?” Austin gestured towards julianna and Amber.
“How could we forget?” julianna asked devilishly.
“Well it’s set. We’re partying tonight!” Tony cheered not caring about the people around them.
About a half an hour later, the group packed up and headed back to the house to get ready and have their last “family dinner” on vacation.
After eating, everybody went off to do their own things until they went out later that night.
~~~~

“Guys, it’s seven. We should head out.” Rian suggested since he noticed everyone was ready.

“Kells, are you okay?” Vic asked realizing Kellin just didn’t seem like himself.
“Yea. I’m fine. Just a little tired I guess.”
“Do you wanna stay in tonight? We can watch movies and stuff.” Vic suggested eagerly.
“No. It’s our last night here. Let’s go out and have fun.” Kellin smiled and winked at his other half before heading towards their friends.

After about twenty minutes, everybody was getting into a limo that they rented for the evening. One of their smArter decisions of the week. After both Jacks decided to steal a golf car while drunk and crash it into the pool, it wasn’t a smart idea to drive from club to club with alcohol in everybody’s system.

~~~~
Three clubs later, the group ranged from sober to genuinely shit faced. Kellin being on of the drunker people of the evening.
“Vic. Vic! VIIIIIC!!!!!” Kellin slurred as he yelled at his boyfriend.
“What Kells?” Vic wasn’t nearly as drunk as Kellin so he was in no mood for his antics.
“Let’s go danceeee!!!” Kellin gave Vic a mischievous smile, but Vic caved and decided to dance instead of drink the rest of the night away.
The night was going smoothly, until around midnight.
Everybody in the club ran outside, leaving Vic and Kellin on the dance floor ultimately confused. That’s when they realized all of their friends were
Missing and then the chants started.
“FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!!” a unanimous chant echoed through the nearly empty club.
“MICHAEL STOP IT!!!” Vic and Kellin knew that voice anywhere. Amber was now screaming and Kellin and Vic ran to see what the hell was going on.
When they got outside, they didn’t expect to see mike laying on the groun with another guy snickering standing over him.
Vic spotted Tony and Jaime in the distance. He nodded in their direction and that’s when the chaos ensued. The group of friends literally attacked the man that left Mike out cold on the ground. Soon enough the sirens were blaring through the neighborhood.
The 15 drunk teenagers, plus an unconscious Mike, and the man who hit mike were now al being placed in handcuffs being hauled away to spend the rest of their night in a jail cell.
The Fast Times At Clairmont High (Chapter 30)
A month had passed and now the gang of friends were on spring break. They were driving to Myrtle Beach for the week. Kellin and Vic were back on good terms. Amber was still with Mike. And shockingly, Alex and Julianna were still together.
~~~

“Kellin and Vic! We are waiting for you two and you two only! Hurry the fuck up!” Austin was yelling from the first floor of Vic’s house.
“Austin. This is my house! I will take as much time as I want!” Vic retorted.
“Fine. We’ll leave without you!” Austin screamed as he slammed the door leaving Vic’s house.

Kellin gave Vic a weary look.
“Vic cmon. You’ve had forever to pack and you wait til now. Hurry up or they will leave. I’m going downstairs to by time.” Kellin sighed and began to walk out.
“Well. You know if somebody didn’t keep me up for a majority of last night, I would be packed and ready.” Vic smirked at Kellin.
“Shut up and get your ass downstairs.” Kellin scrunched his face and walk out of Vic’s room, down the stairs, and out to the two vans parked outside.

After about 5 more minutes of waiting Vic finally appeared in his doorway hauling three bags.

“Holy shit. I thought I took a long time.” Mike yelled at his brother.
“Yay. Princess finally decided to join us.” Austin spoke sarcastically.
“shut up Austin. I thought you were leaving without me.” Vic replied just as sarcastic.
“Well. You little boyfriend over here told us that it would be in our best interest to wait for you. And we didn’t want to get poor Vicky mad.” Alex chimed in.
“Okay. Okay. Guys knock it off and leave Vic alone. Who’s going in what van?” amber chimed in cutting off any more arguments.

Everybody looked around afraid to answer. Nobody wanted to be stuck with the crazy drivers or insane people in general.

“Well since nobody wants to answer let’s just go pick out of a hat.” Julianna tried to break the awkward silence that over came the group of friends.
“That isn’t a bad idea.” Rian answered agreeing with her.

After being set back a half an hour because of Vic’s horrible packing skills and pulling a number out of a hat, the group of 16 were beginning their ten hour journey from Jersey to South Carolina. Luckily the seating arrangements werent too bad. Vic, Kellin, both Jacks, Mike, Amber, Austin, and Zack were in one van. Of course Austin just had to drive. Then Alex, Julianna, Jesse, Rian, Justin, Jaime, Tony, and  were in the other van with Alex driving. Other than a few stops for food and taking care of other business, the ride went pretty smoothly.

A little after 9, both vans pulled up to their new house for the next week. It was huge. From the outside, it looked like a typical beach house. It had three floors and a basement.  There was also a deck in the front and the back of the house. Inside it looked like a legit mansion. It had 9 bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a giant kitchen, a dining room that opened our to the living room, and a finished basement that was considered a game room.

Before the group of friends decided to take in the house, they were all running around looking for the best bedroom.

“WAAAAAAAAIIIIITTTTT!” Julianna screamed at the top of her lungs from the front door. Everybody froze and retreated back towards her direction.

“Okay honestly. I think we need some ground rules.” she spoke sternly. Julianna wasn’t serious too often, but when she was, nobody wanted to go against her.
“Alright. What did you have in mind?” Vic eyed her skeptically.

“okay. Well since me and Amber are the only girls here, we get our own bathroom. There are three. You guys can workout a schedule but me and Am get our own.”
“Yeaaa. I like that idea.” Amber cheered joyfully. All the guys just nodded waiting for her to continue.
“Since me and Amber are the girls, do NOT expect us to cook and clean for you lazy asses this week. We want to have fun too.” everybody just nodded again. Nothing was too overbearing…yet.
“Oh oh oh! Also, since me and Jules are the only girls, we get first pick at bedrooms. But like we should leave one room open. It’s only fair that everybody shares a room.” Amber spoke up, going along with Julianna.
“oh cmon! Thats not fair!” Austin yelled.
“Austin it is too fair. They are the only girls here. I don’t think they want to deal with our bullshit every second of the day for the next week.” Kellin interrupted Austin’s rant.
“Ughhhhh. Fine whatever. Finishing stating your rules.” Austin replied sounding defeated.
“okay so me and Amber are going to pick rooms. We’ll shut the door to our rooms and the extra room. When we get back you will be able to pick.” Julianna spoke eagerly. Next thing you know, her and amber are running like lunatics through the house.

After about 5 minutes they finally reappeared in the living.

“Okay. Go have fun.” amber spoke and the guys ran to pick the best out of the rooms that were left. Mike and Alex just sat and watched, also feeling grateful that their girlfriends had probably picked the best rooms.

It was about ten when everybody picked their rooms and were settled in. Everybody was down in the game room when Jaime suggested everybody should go to bed so they weren’t completely tired their first full day there, considering the drive down was tiring enough.

Everybody said goodnight and headed to their rooms. Kellin was obviously with Vic, Alex with Julianna, and Mike was obviously with Amber. As for the rest of the guys, Jesse was with Austin, Tony was with Jack B. Rian was with Zack, Justin with Jack F., and finally Jaime roomed with Gabe.

Vic and Kellin made it to their room first. They listened to the mass chaos taking place in the hallway. Too afraid to ask and too tired to care, the couple laid down rather quickly in the king sized bed that occupied their room.

About 5 minutes later, the chaos in the hallway died to pure silence.

“Hey Vic.” Kellin muttered.
“yes?” Vic mumbled half asleep.
“Do you think this week will be fun?” Kellin always looked ahead, but he really just wanted to have fun.
“Mmmm. Sleep.” that was all Kellin could understand coming from Vic. Kellin just chuckled.
“Well I think it will be.” Kellin smirked and rolled over to face away from Vic. Vic placed his arm over Kellin’s waist and that’s how the pair slept for the rest of the night. They both knew this vacation was going to be perfect.

The Fast Times at Clairmont High (Chapter 29)

“Vic. If you can hear me, I love you. You need to wake up. It’s been three days. C’mon. You need to wake up.” Kellin was leaning against Vic’s hospital bed holding the boy’s limp hand begging for his other half to wake up

Kellin heard the door to the hospital room open and then close shortly after. The room was now filled with Kellin, Mike, Amber, Julianna, Alex, and Austin.

“Is he any better?” Amber asked solemnly.
“I guess. I mean everything is working normal but he just won’t wake up.” Kellin answered trying not to sound too distraught.

“He shouldn’t have even went out that night.” Mike choked angrily.
“Mike don’t start.” Amber snipped at him.
“But it’s true. I don’t even get why they’re here. They’re basically the reason Vic is in here.” Mike motioned towards Julianna and Kellin.
“Michael. Outside now.” Amber snipped.
“No. Am he’s right. It is our fault Vic is in here.” Kellin looked to the floor as he spoke.
“Kellin don’t beat yourself over this.” Austin interrupted, trying to cheer his friend up.
“Austin, dont make him feel better. He deserves to feel like shit.” Mike interrupted again.
“Mike enough!” Amber, Austin, and Alex yelled. But there was a fourth voice. Everybody looked around the room. Thats when they realized Vic had woken up.

“M-mike please. Kellin knows he was wrong. We had this conversation before I left the other night. This is nobody’s fault.” Vic choked out sounding groggy.

Before Mike could answer, a doctor had run into the room.

“Well, well Victor. It’s about time you woke up. You will be discharged later. We ran tests while you were unconscious. You just have a minor concussion and a few scrapes and bruises. The main reason you slept for so long was because of the concussion. Thank your friend who pulled you out of the car when he did. If you were in there any longer, who knows what damage could have been done. But enough of that. I will get your papers. Have a nice evening.” and with that the doctor had left the room but the drama still remained.

“Okay. Before anybody else decides to blame people and fight, just don’t. I’m not dealing with it. I feel like shit. I don’t need you guys making it worse. Mike, just chill. I love you brother, but don’t blame people. It doesn’t get you far. And Kellin, we have to talk later. As for everybody else, thank you for coming and showing me that you care.” Vic spoke sternly and nobody dared to interrupt him. Everybody just nodded in silence.

Later that night, Vic got discharged and Kellin offered to drive him home.

“Kells, you didn’t have to do this.” Vic said wearily.
“I know vic. But I wanted to.” Kellin replied.
“Okay well I don’t know if you figured it out or not. But I was coming to see you before the accident.”
“Mike told me. But why?” Kellin asked confused.
“because I wanted to come forgive you. Kellin. I love you to death. You fucked up our trust royally. But I would rather us work on our trust then be not together.” Vic answered in the most serious tone.
“Vic I truly am sorry. I never meant to hurt you. I love you I’m so sorry.”
“okay Kells. Let’s leave it at that. I’m over it. I don’t want to know anything else. Let’s just forget about it for the night.”
“Alright.” Kellin replied reluctantly.

The rest of the ride was silent, but not awkward. Finally Kellin arrived at Vics house. Mike and Amber were sitting on the porch waiting for them. Kellin got out of the car and helped Vic walk over to his younger brother.

“Kellin.” Mike began to speak and Amber shot him a worried look. Vic just stood there silently.
“yes Mike?”
“I really wanted to beat the shit out of you. But that wouldn’t solve anything. So thank you. Thank you for driving Vic home.”
“no need to thank me.” Kellin answered in barely above a whisper.

“okay let’s go inside.” amber interrupted before anything else got awkward.

“you guys go on in. I want to talk to Kellin.” Vic quickly responded. Mike and Amber nodded and went inside

“Thanks for the ride Kells.”
“Really its fine Vic. “
“alright well. I guess I’ll see you in school on Monday?” Vic sighed.
“I was thinking since tomorrow is Saturday, we can go to eat or the movies or something.” Kellin trailed off
“I can handle the movies.” Vic smiled.
“really?” Kellin asked overjoyed.
“yes Kells.” Vic nodded. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“tomorrow it is.” Kellin smirked and began to walk back to his car.
“Kellin wait!” vic yelled from his porch. Kellin spun around.
“Yes Vic?”
“I love you.” Vic spoke softly and smiled.
“I love you too. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Kellin chuckled and headed back to his car. Once he got in, he watched Vic go inside. That’s when he drove away. Kellin was silent on his ride home. He was happy Vic gave him another chance. And he would definitely not have a repeat of the night with Julianna. And he wasn’t going to bring it up either.

I guess we’ll never know why Kellin and Julianna hooked up that night. But everybody has secrets that get revealed eventually…

The Fast Times At Clairemont High (Chapter 28)

“Fuckkkkk!” was all Kellin could yell when he began chasing after Vic.

“Vic! Vic wait!” Kellin was now screaming as he chased Vic out to his car.

Vic stopped dead and his track and turned around so fast it was kind of scary.

“Why Kellin? Why do you want me to wait? Do you want me to see more of you and that whore?” Vic pointed to Julianna as he yelled in Kellin’s face. And she took that as her cue to leave.

“Kells, I’m just going to go.” She spoke softly as she walked to her car as quick as possible.

“No Jules stay. It’s not like he wants me around anyway. Just pray to god Alex doesn’t find out.” Vic practically growled at her.

“Pray to god Alex doesn’t find out what?” Alex walked over smiling and embraced Julianna in his arms.

“I don’t know ask Kellin and your girlfriend, if that’s what you even want to call her.” Vic turned and started walking towards his car.

“Vic. Please let me explain!” Kellin chased Vic to the car barely holding back tears. As he was running towards Vic, Julianna  and Alex’s faint arguing can be heard. But that was the least of Kellin’s problems at the moment.

“What Kellin? What more can you possibly want? You practically just tore my heart open and now I’m left to sew myself shut. What more is there to do or even say? Nothing. So just drop it. Go be with her because I’m sure Alex is at his wits end with you and her since our last big blow up cause I know I sure am.” Vic was now choking back tears as he spoke to Kellin. But he didn’t want Kellin to see him weak even though he was dying on the inside.

“Vic, it was not your fault, but mine. It was your heart on the line. I really fucked it up this time, didn’t I my dear?” Kellin let a few tears stain his cheeks as he tried to make his point.

Vic just eyed him and then it clicked in his head.

“Did you honestly quote Mumford & Sons? Really Kellin? God. I’m so done. Have a nice life. I can’t take this shit anymore. I fucking can’t. Go toy with someone else’s head.” Vic’s sadness turned to pure hatred in a matter of seconds. Kellin had never made him this made before but now he just wanted to punch him in the face.

“You basically quoted Papa Roach. I thought Mumford & Sons sounded appropriate. But I actually meant it as the Tonight Alive cover.” Kellin replied sarcastically which made the situation worse.

“You are such a fucking smart ass. This is exactly what I mean. All you care about was me yelling at you for quoting a song. Nothing else matters to you. I can’t believe I spent 6 months dating you and put up with out friendship for even longer. I’m so done. Just forget I even existed.” Vic let a tear slip down his cheek at his last sentence but immediately jumped in his car and drove away before Kellin could say anything else.

Kellin stood there and watched Vic drive away as fast as he could. When the car was out of sight, he collapsed to his knees and began sobbing in his hands. Finally he stop crying and realized Alex and Julianna were still fighting behind him.

“Stop fucking around with my emotions. I’m sick and tired of false devotion!” Alex screamed at Julianna, who was now hysterically crying.

“Alex. I’m sorry. I fucked up. I’m sorry. Please don’t do this. Please.” Julianna tried speaking through sobs but somehow Alex managed to understand her.

“Julianna. Ugh. Why do you always do this?” Alex looked in her eyes with sorrow as she looked more hurt than him.

“Yo-you called me by my whole name.” Alex never called her by her full name. Julianna knew she fucked up.

As Alex went to speak, he realized Kellin was still standing there.

“Alex I’m sorry. Don’t blame her. It was all my fa-“

“Kellin save it. I may be upset and disappointed with her. But you? I can’t believe you could be so stupid. I’m not saying I can forgive you for this, but I don’t want to rip your head off. After hearing your argument with Vic, I’m just going to drop it for now.” Alex sounded sympathetic for the situation but their friendship may be completely ruined.

Kellin looked Alex dead in the eyes and nodded. He then put his head down for good and started walking back into his house. He didn’t even look at Julianna. As he turned to shut the front door, he saw Alex and Julianna hug and then walk off together.

“Why can’t me and Vic be that easy?” Kellin thought to himself.

He slowly trudged up to his room thinking of whether he should call Vic or not.

Kellin caved and started calling Vic and sending him a million and one texts. None of which Vic responded to. Kellin eventually gave up and fell asleep.

*Vic’s point of view

“What the fuck did I do to deserve this, Mike?” Vic was crying and looking to his brother for advice.

“Vic, he isn’t worth it. Just ignore him. What he did was fucked up, no matter how sorry he is.” Mike tried to console his brother, but what he was saying made Vic sit back and think for a moment.

“But Mike. You pulled the same shit. You knew I was going out with Amber for like ever but because you wanted her, you got her. Are you saying you aren’t worth it?” Vic snarled at his brother as he remembered what happened just before him and Kellin began dating. Then he realized Kellin was there to comfort him. Kellin was the one who deserved a second chance because he was always there.

“Vic, no. I mean. I guess. I don’t know…” Mike trailed off as he tried to save his ass.

“Sorry I was mad. I didn’t mean anything by that. I love you little brother, but I really think I should go see Kellin. I at least want him to voice his side of the story considering he’s been calling and texting me all night.” Vic shot up and ran down he stairs to tell his parents he was leaving.

“Vic just be careful. This big ass storm is starting to roll in. It’s already slippery out!” Mike yelled after Vic, but Vic was already out the door, rushing to his car.

Vic began speeding towards Kellin’s house. If only he had heard Mike’s warning before he left. Vic began swerving but managed to regain control of the car. He started driving more carefully. As Vic was going through the intersection by Kellin’s house, a tractor trailer ran the red light. All Vic saw was the lights and his car ended up flipped over half way down the block.

Vic was still conscious when he felt someone pull him out of the car. Once he was fully out, Vic saw a figure holding him but he couldn’t make out what it was.

“Vic. I love you. I’m sooo sorry. Cmon stay awake. You can’t leave me. Darling, you’ll be okay.” Then it clicked. It was Kellin. Vic had realized Kellin may have just saved his life.

“Kellin, I will always love you.” Vic spoke softly before losing consciousness in Kellin’s arms.

The Fast Times At Clairemont High (Chapter 27)

I am soooo sorry this wasn’t updated sooner. I’ve had a lot going on lately. I will try to get back on track with updating but enjoyyy(:

——

The rest of February had flown by and it was only a week into March. Finally the weather was getting warmer. The group of friends were still on good terms. Everybody got to know Jesse and Jack’s girlfriends, Alan was becoming closer with the group, and everything was genuinely going good.

It was Vic and Kellin’s 6 month anniversary and luckily it was a Friday.

“what are you guys even doing tonight.” Mike asked Vic curiously.
“I’m not too sure. Kellin said it was a surprise. But he said to dress decently.” Vic replied in a monotone matter. Kellin knew Vic didn’t like surprises but he pulled them anyway.
“Maybe he’s taking you to dinner or something.” mike responded to Vic.
” Yea. Maybe. But we’ll deal with that later. Let’s not be late to school.”

Vic and Mike walked out of their house together practically in sync. They walked over to Vic’s car and made their journey to school. When Vic pulled up, him and Mike subconsciously walked over to the fountain, but Vic noticed someone was missing.

“Guys, where’s Kells?” Vic asked the group of friends eagerly as he searched for his boyfriend.
“Oh.” Julianna started to speak and smirked as she did so. This left Vic a little weary, but he let her continue. “he said something about being late.” she smirked again and turned around to talk to Alex.
“Vic. He didn’t forget about today. I’m sure he’ll be here soon.” Austin tried giving Vic words of encouragement but of course Vic was thinking all negative thoughts.

Vic was too upset to talk to anybody so he said his goodbyes for now and made his way to his locker. That’s when Vic saw him. Kellin. The tall, skinny teenager was standing in front of Vic’s locker with a small bunch of roses. A smile quickly spread across Vic’s then pursed lips and he rushed over to where his other half was waiting.

“Finally. I thought you’d never get to your locker.” Kellin then let out and overdramatic sigh.
“is that any way to address your boyfriend on your anniversary?” Vic asked a little too sarcastically for Kellin to realize.
“I guess not. But I was only kidding. But here have these.” Kellin then pushed the roses towards Vic’s direction.
“Kellin. I was kidding too. But thank you. Happy anniversary.” Vic than leaned to Kellin in attempt to kiss him, but Kellin pulled away. Vic looked at him hurt and confused.
“not here. The teachers are everywhere.” Kellin tried to think of a good excuse to not kiss his boyfriend back.
“oh. Okay I guess.” vic was hurt and confuse but was in no place to argue with Kellin right now.

Before anything else was said, the morning bell rang and the boys headed to homeroom with only a kiss on the cheek from Kellin to Vic.

Vic spent the rest of the day thinking about why his boyfriend wouldnt kiss him. Especially on today out of all days. Vic’s thoughts were interrupted by a buzzing coming from his bag. He realized it was a text, and of course it was from Kellin.
